Yacht financing, offered in partnership with SMEF (99.99% CMB), is an important service offered by the bank to its clientele.

Thanks to the favourable terms of various European legislations (mainly the Italian and the French) it is possible to enjoy relevant VAT mitigations in case of large yachts purchased by the means of financial leasing schemes. In partnership with major European banking institutions SMEF offers the possibility to benefit from all these advantages allowing clients to limit the VAT impact on their yacht purchase while continuing to enjoy the yield of their assets deposited at CMB.

Financed assets include new builds as well as second hand boats to be registered either for private or charter use under any major European flag. Through its extensive network of established partners SMEF is effectively able to deliver a comprehensive service including adequate VAT advisory, incorporation of the vessel owning company, yacht finance, insurance and registration.
