The following definitions apply for the purposes of this notice:

  • ‘Entity(ies)’: Compagnie Monégasque de Banque and its subsidiaries.
  • ‘Website’: the ‘’ website.
  • ‘User’: any person who accesses or browses the Website and/or any person who owns a computer on which the Website is accessed and/or browsed, whether that person is a customer or not.



The Website is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week, except in the event of force majeure, the action(s) or omission(s) of a third party and/or maintenance and services required to ensure that the Website is in good working order. If the Website is down for maintenance reasons and to the extent possible, a warning that the Website will be unavailable may be posted on the homepage or issued by any other means. Neither CMB nor the Host Company will be liable under any circumstances and no compensation will be due in the event of any unavailability or disruption, regardless of the cause.

As there is no guarantee as to the confidentiality or integrity of information transmitted via the Internet, the User must take appropriate steps to protect their messages and data and/or tools.

CMB reserves the right to modify and temporarily shut down the whole or any part of the Website without being required to inform the User in advance.
In such event, the User hereby releases CMB from all liability.


The User agrees to respect the integrity of the Website and agrees not to hinder or force the operation of the Website, not to fraudulently modify, alter or delete content accessible via the Website and not to fraudulently enter data on the Website.


This Website must be deemed an inseverable whole. All components of the Website (information, data, text, sound, images, drawings, designs, distinguishing signs, logos, trade marks, etc.) are the exclusive property of the publisher.

All these components are subject to the provisions of the Intellectual Property Code and are therefore protected against any and all uses not permitted by law or these website terms and conditions.
These components may only be reproduced for information purposes and/or be copied or reproduced strictly for private and personal use.

No part of the website may be reproduced, exhibited or circulated in any medium or by any means whatsoever. Failure to comply with this prohibition will constitute infringement for which the infringer may be held liable at civil and criminal law.
It is notably strictly prohibited to use or reproduce the name ‘COMPAGNIE MONEGASQUE DE BANQUE’, ‘CMB’ and/or the associated logo, individually or together, for any purpose whatsoever, particularly for advertising purposes, without CMB’s prior permission in writing.

Similarly, downloading or copying by any other means any software or information contained on CMB’s Website will not grant any rights to such software or information. It is strictly prohibited to reproduce (in full or in part), transmit (electronically or by any other means) and modify the foregoing. It is also prohibited to use the CMB Website for public or commercial purposes without CMB’s prior permission in writing.


The Website is available free of charge other than the charges imposed by Internet service providers and call charges, which will be billed directly to the User by the operators.
Access to the Website is not subject to registration or subscription.
CMB does not provide online services.
CMB’s online services (if any) may be accessed via the Website.
The terms and conditions according to which online services are available, charged and provided are to be set out in an agreement signed by the User and the relevant Entity.
For this purpose, the User is asked to contact the relevant Entity.



In the context of its business and in accordance with the legislation in force in Monaco on the Protection of Personal Details (Act No 1.165 of 23 December 1993 on the protection of personal details, as amended by Act No 1.353 of 4 December 2008), CMB agrees to protect and ensure the confidentiality of the personal data of Users of its services, and to respect their privacy.

Users are liable to provide personal data that may be automatically processed. This data will be used by the Staff of Compagnie Monégasque de Banque in order to respond to your requests.

We draw your attention to the fact that the confidentiality and integrity of information are not guaranteed on the Internet. Consequently, the content and origin of the messages you send to us electronically may be intercepted and/or altered.
CMB denies all liability in this respect.


When accessing and browsing the Website, CMB may collect personal data, particularly (i) data provided by the User when completing the form in the section ‘Complaints’ or ‘Contact’ on the Website: first name, surname, Company name, e-mail address, telephone number and the subject of the complaint, and (ii) data that can be used to identify or contact the User when the latter accesses the e-banking service or browses the Website, or to monitor the User’s requests/complaints.

All such data is liable to be processed automatically.

It may be stored in the information systems of CMB or of the service providers and consultants appointed by CMB to manage it.

CMB may use personal data to process and respond to requests made by the User.

To provide a high standard of service, CMB ensures that personal data is collected for a specific, explicit, legitimate and relevant purpose.

CMB ensures that the personal data it receives remains confidential.

CMB implements security measures tailored to the sensitivity of personal data in order to protect it against malicious intrusion, loss, corruption and disclosure to unauthorised third parties.

CMB also requires its service providers to comply with its security rules.

CMB agrees to delete personal data from its databases at the end of this retention period.


Personal details may be transferred to the Host Company and to any CMB subsidiary for processing purposes or to service providers for administration purposes, to provide relevant services or in the context of the maintenance and hosting of the Website.

In the context of various operations, personal details may be transferred to a country within or outside the European Union. Rules have been defined to ensure that data is protected and remains secure when transferred to a country outside the European Union.


Pursuant to the provisions of Act No 1.165 of 23 December 1993, as amended:

  • the User has a right to access their personal details, to request that any incorrect, incomplete or out-of-date details be corrected, updated or deleted, and to object to the processing of their personal details, providing they have a legitimate reason for doing so.
  • the User may also object to their personal details being used or disclosed to third parties for canvassing purposes, without being required to give a reason for their request. These rights may be exercised by contacting:

This Confidentiality Policy is governed by the regulations in force in Monaco.
The Courts of Monaco will have jurisdiction in the event of a dispute.
