Jean-Luc Biamonti

Career

Jean-Luc Biamonti, a Monegasque national, is a graduate of ESSEC Business School (Paris) and holds an MBA from Columbia University (New York). He began his career at Nestlé in 1979, before moving into investment banking (First Boston, Wasserstein Perella, Crédit Lyonnais Securities). He joined Goldman Sachs in 1993, where he spent more than 15 years, serving as Head of Investment Banking in France and Belgium and later as Head of the Retail and Consumer Goods sector in Europe. He was a Managing Director of the firm.

In 2012, he founded Calcium Capital, a private equity firm.

He has been a Director of Société des Bains de Mer de Monaco (SBM) since 1985, became Chairman in 1995, and subsequently served as Chairman and CEO from 2013 to January 2023.

Since July 2022, he has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Covivio and Lead Independent Director at EssilorLuxottica (CAC 40).
